Abstract

In this fast-paced modern era, anxiety is one of the more attention-getting mental health problems, especially among students. General anxiety is one of the significant mental health problems among students. High levels of academic pressure, social challenges, and rapid life changes can trigger or worsen anxiety in students. Murotal therapy, which involves listening to the Qur'an solemnly and meditating on its meaning, is believed to have a positive effect on reducing anxiety levels. This study aims to fill such knowledge gaps by evaluating the extent to which murotal therapy can be an effective alternative in dealing with general anxiety in college students. By understanding the issues in this study, it is expected to contribute to the development of more effective interventions in dealing with general anxiety disorders of students, as well as to find more targeted solutions to improve students' mental well-being, and to improve student health. This will eventually have a positive impact on their academic achievement and overall quality of life.
