Abstract

Dependence on social media, particularly TikTok, is becoming a serious problem for teens and young adults. This study explores the use of qualitative approaches with a focus on Qur'anic Reflection Therapy as the main intervention to overcome this dependence. Through in-depth interviews and content analysis, the study revealed that Qur'an recitation effectively improved participants' self-awareness, self-control, and psychological well-being. The results showed that participants managed to reduce their dependence on TikTok. The findings provide important insights for psychotherapy practitioners in developing religious values-based interventions to deal with social media dependence.
