The Influence of Single Mother Parenting on Adolescent LearningOutcomes in Metro Cities

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of single parent parenting patterns on learning outcomes for teenagers in Metro City. This research uses quantitative methods. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire. The sample in this study was 80 young teenagers aged 12-16 years who had single parents in Metro City. The hypothesis tests carried out in this research were the partial T test and the coefficient of determination test. Based on the results of data collection carried out on 80 respondents, it shows that there is a positive influence between single parent parenting patterns on learning outcomes for teenagers in Metro City. There is a significant influence between single parent parenting patterns on adolescent learning outcomes, which is indicated by a significance value (Sig.) 0.000 < 0.05. Then we also obtained a coefficient of determination (R square) of 0.102 or 0.102 x 100 = 10.2%, which means that the influence of the independent variable (X) on the dependent variable (Y) is 10.2% and the remaining 89.8% is influenced by other factors that are not thorough researcher
